Alberta Advantage Immigration Program
Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS)
The Alberta provincial government's immigration program, whose official name was changed from AINP (Alberta Immigration Nominee Program) to AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program) in February 2022, was divided into Streams for Workers, which can be processed through employment, and Streams for Entrepreneurs, for business owners.

· Does not require an employer’s sponsorship and can only apply for permanent residency with the applicant’s eligibility

Advantages · Applicants are selected on fairly lower CRS score
· Additional points awarded for federal EE opportunities
· Applicants who show ties to Alberta are prioritized (ex. Job offer from Alberta, relatives, a graduate of Canadian post-secondary schools)
· Priority is also given to those who help economic development and diversity

Advantages · It allows the applicant to earn a degree outside of Canada, start an innovation set-up business in Alberta, and receive permanent residency
· It evaluates the ability to demonstrate market need or demand and likelihood of successful market entry
